The Doctor uses ultra-violet light to destroy the reptiles' giant electrified sea beast, the Myrka. When it appears that there is no other option, he also reluctantly suggests using hexachromite gas to kill the remaining invaders. While this is done, he links his own brain into the base's computer to prevent the firing of the missiles. Yes Icthar, I agree. Doctor Who Warriors of the Deep is an excellent story, and I liked it a lot. As you probably know, Doctor Who has never been a show (until now maybe) that has been known for stunning special effects, but there are still some great things in this story. The TV version of Warriors of the Deep was unnecessarily slow because of the voices of the Silurians and Sea Devils and because the said monsters' costumes were cumbersome. Terrance Dicks' novelization of this story allows one to imagine the dialogue and movement happening faster, but still cannot make up for a rather cumbersome plot. Warriors of the Deep ends on a very sombre note, with all the Silurians and Sea Devils strewn dead around the Sea Base. In this way, they are presented as grunts, with no intelligent thought. I
